Helping to Bring Greater Awareness to Breast and Ovarian Cancer
A diagnosis of cancer places a tremendous strain on any family, a fact that many of us know all too well. From my own family experiences, I have learned that early detection and education are the best weapons in the fight against cancer.
That’s why I am teaming up with the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program and SHARE Self-Help for Women with Breast or Ovarian Cancer to advocate early detection of cancer through education.
This month, I am encouraging everyone to take a break from their busy schedules to discuss ways to promote healthier living, learn more about cancer symptoms, and to consider taking precautionary steps such as cancer screening as ways to combat breast, ovarian and other cancers.
